Trailer Living: Sign the lease and talk about it later

This is basically how Mom and I reached the decision to live in an RV together:

Me in a text message: I found a place that sounds perfect for us.

Her: oh great! Tell me more.

Me: It has two bedrooms, recently remodeled, on 6 acres…it’s 40 feet long.

Her: Ok sounds great.

And then a week later we signed the lease. Last night we had our first actual sit down face to face conversation about our decision and impending move. As ridiculous as it may be for a 30 year old to live in a trailer with her mom, I think it’s as preposterous that a mom would be excited about sharing a 400 square foot house with her adult daughter and two German shepherds. WHAT is she thinking?

I’m curious too. She’s gonna spill the beans to all of us.

The good news, after our conversation, is that we still like our decision and the better news is that we are both anticipating every crazy little thing about this journey. Things like a 10 – gallon or so hot water heater, laundry mat usage and a sewage holding tank.

Meanwhile, we continue to sell stuff, pack stuff, sort stuff and storage-unit stuff. Move in day is a week from today.
